Landscape design
A landscape design is the plan for the whole yard: where the patio, lawn, planting, shade and lighting go, what each is made of, and how water moves across it. Deciding that on paper costs far less than changing it once construction has started.
We design what we build. The plan is drawn by the company whose crew will install it, so it reflects real materials, real site conditions and a scope that can be priced accurately.

What we install
Full-yard design
A complete plan for the front yard, the back yard or both, built in one project or in phases.
Backyard design
Outdoor living space planned around a patio, shade, a kitchen or fire feature, lawn and planting.
Front yard design
Curb appeal, entry paths and low-water planting that fit the house and the neighborhood.
New-build lots
A plan for a bare yard behind a new home, made before anything is installed.
Materials and design
- How you live outside
- Dining, entertaining, kids, pets, a pool and quiet corners all pull the layout in different directions. The design starts with your priorities.
- Sun, views and privacy
- Where the afternoon sun lands, what you want to look at and what you want screened decide where things go.
- Budget and phasing
- A design can be shaped to a budget, and it shows what to build first if the work will be done in stages.
Built for Arizona
- Shade, heat and reflected light off walls and paving are designed for from the start, since they decide which spaces get used.
- Grading and drainage for monsoon rain are part of the plan.
- Plant choices and irrigation zones are matched so the yard looks good on a sensible amount of water.
- Most HOAs ask for drawings before approving changes. The design gives you what they need to see.
How the installation goes

Explore Our WorkCommon questions
Do I need a design for a small project?
A single patio or a turf lawn usually needs only a measured layout. A design earns its keep when several parts of the yard have to work together.
Will the design help with my HOA?
Yes. HOAs generally want to see a plan showing what is going where and which plants and materials will be used, which is what a design provides.
Do you build what you design?
Yes. We are a design and installation company, and our own crew installs our designs.
